I only give my chihuahuas, american cheese. and only little pieces. Since too much cheese will not let them go potty, just like ppl.

I'll give her a tiny bit of whatever I'm using uaually. Unless it's like pepperjack, or something that I really don't know will sit right with her.

I'm sure plain cheeses like cheddar & edam would be okay. I'd probably avoid cheeses with strong flavours and bluse cheeses. Although maybe a little bit of those Dairylea triangles would be okay....

Hubby and I are cheese-a-holics! Bailey has become one as well... he has had many kinds of cheese, his favorite being mozzarella and cheddar! He only gets about two pea sized amounts. He hasn't ever had constipation issues.

Thanks guys. I was thinking of giving him cheddar cheese for a treat. But wanted to know first what else is good too.

Keep them coming.

Bella is allergic to diary so she can't have any cheese.

Lina eats very small amounts of Colby, Cheddar or Swiss cheese as treats. She especially loves to eat very small amounts of warm mozzarella cheese from a pizza. When Lina gets cheese as a treat, we give Bella an Innova Evo dog biscuit for her treat. When it comes to food, both girls are together side by side sitting in their dog bed in the kitchen, patiently waiting for their treats (LOL).
