Default Drooling

Hiya All

Misty had a really bad night last night. Drooling not stop and her tongue was just hanging out of the side of her mouth and she was shaky.

Rushed her to the vets who could find no sign of a problem and gave her a shot of something to stop the drooling (anti sickness) and
said take her back in 24 hours if shes still drooling.

The injection has worked but still has a slightly drooly mouth.

Vet mentioned doing bloods if she still no better and mentioned liver problems. Eek.

Anyone been through the same?

It sounds like she had eaten something she shouldn't. Phoebe had the same thing happen to her and her mouth was dripping like a tap and she was shaking. The vet said she has eaten something poisonous, like a leaf , tablet ect. she was ok after a few hours and plenty to drink. I was very frightened.

I pray she gets better quickly and doesn't have to go back to the vets.

Give her a big kiss from me.

Little more info? How old is Misty? Has she had any previous health issues? What did she do yesterday? Play outside, etc? Any other symptoms?

Olivia

Hiya, Misty is 2.5 years old and no other health issues bar spey and some itching months back.

We stayed at my mums yesterday a very small bungalow with a small enclosed paved yard and she played in and out all day.

She had been up the night before and not had much sleep as my friend stayed over with her chi and they play like mad, and she didnt get any sleep last night either cus of the drooling.

No other symptoms just drooling and shaking. Shes slightly drooling now and is still a tiny bit shaky but seems happy enough currently (and we went to see the vet at midday today)

I guess theres always a chance that she ate something she shouldnt even though im usually mega careful with her.

I will be sleeping very lightly tonight with the vets number on the side of the bed.
