It could not hurt to get second opinion, it's not presenting as Kennel Cough as I have seen, but that does not mean anything really.. different dogs react to different things.

I know that my oldest dog, coughs hacks, sneezes, reverse sneezes all the time, always has and that is just him.
Is something in your environment perhaps bothering her?

Kitty and Daisy....so if this is just reverse sneezing, it won't cause any negative effect on her? And if it is collapsing trachea, I should notice it bothering her health wise?

I've never dealt with CT myself, but reverse sneezing yes!
It's really nothing but noise and your dog will look rather silly doing it.
It should not cause her any harm, but you can check with your vet.
My Poodle has been doing it since he was a year old.. he is 17 now

Just watch her, if something is really wrong you will know.
You can tell when they don't feel right.

I agree I'd get a second opinion

I actually thought reverse sneezing was more coon with dogs with short muzzles but obv not. If it is reverse sneezing it won't have an effect on her u just cover her nostrils and she will go back to breathing normally

I would see another vet tho... Is there ent specialist vets??

Thanks very much girls, I really do appreciate it. I just love her so much...this has been really worrying me....I thought the vet would be able to give me some answers. If I notice any difference in her activity level or her food/water intake etc. I'll take her back in right away.....and maybe to another vet.

I know there are several vet offices in my town....not sure about specialists...I'll take a look online though

It looks like she is gagging when she's doing it. Have you checked her mouth really closely? Could she have something caught way in the back teeth that is irritating her throat and making her cough/gag?

It doesn't look like reverse sneezing or kennel cough to me. It looks like a foreign body issue.

When Mr Big gets really excited he makes the honking noise. They vet said that was normal especially of Chis to do when they get so excited. She said I shouldn't worry about it unless it sounds more like a cough or it happens frequently.
