I know this is gross, but has anyone ever experienced this problem? Jetta is 4 months old and won't quit trying to sneak a bite of her poop. It's disgusting. She's not quite as interested when she comes across other dogs' poop, and most of the time if we're outside she will leave it alone. However, if she has an "accident" inside, she will eat it before I can get her away from it. It's especially hard when she does it in the middle of the night in her crate. She has no problem pooping and peeing where she sleeps (and yes it's a small enough crate). Please help.

It's sadly a pretty common thing, lol. If you use the Search function and look for other poop eating threads you'll find a lot; plus various suggestions on how to curb it.

Since she's just 4 months old, if she's the only dog you have (as in, she's just eating her OWN poop) then she'd be a good candidate for Forbid. You sprinkle it on her food for a couple days, and it makes the poop taste even worse to the dogs so they develop an aversion to it. It's success rate is usually dependent upon how young the dog is and how long the habit has been going on. When tried early on enough it works great!! Good luck!
