If you are thinking of changing the diet, please read up on raw feeding ( we have great info on this site for it)! IMO it is the best way to go if you can!!
For either diarrhea or constipation you can use plain canned pumpkin ( this is for raw fed or commercial food)....about a rounded teaspoon probably.

I checked on dogfoodadvisor and blue wilderness is a 5 star food and only slightly higher protein than acana. I don't know about the other brands. I don't think there is going to be a food you are going to be happy with at Petsmart because wellness is--by their admission--the best food they carry and they do not carry wellness core which is grain-free. Petco has Nature' Variety which someone else recommended to me and it is 5 star, but I don't know what they have for a puppy. Where I live, we have a Pet Supplies Plus that carries alot of 5 star foods to choose from and several choices of raw foods in a freezer. I don't know if Petco carries raw food, but I don't think Petsmart does. One thing you can do also is to make sure she is drinking plenty of water even if you have to pick her up and get a little cup of water and offer it to her quite often. Make sure you also do the plain pumpkin. Good luck--I'll stay posted.

I can vouch for the pumpkin working! Odie had diarrhea so badly after she was spayed and we used pumpkin. Yam also works, and she liked it a lot more than the pumpkin. I just got a small jar of yam baby food (making sure it was pure yam, no additives). I was giving her approx. a teaspoon of it, 2-3 times a day if she would eat it. Yam saved the day!

My puppies were all on Blue Buffalo and they did fine. But if she has a sensitive stomach, I found this. I hope it helps.

AvoDerm offers AvoDerm Natural Chicken Meal and Brown Rice Puppy Formula, containing avocadoes, chicken meal and brown rice, is designed for puppies with sensitivities to other protein sources. This product is available in both small and large breed formulas.

Sorry I took so long to get back to you! With the size of your dog I would say a teaspoon a day would be fine until her bowels get back on track! Make sure it's not spiced, just plan pure pureed pumpkin!
