Default A few questions..

Bailey is 5 months old now and I have a few questions.

First is, she is now 3.5 pounds. At 5 months is she full grown or when will she be and if she isn't any ideas as to how much bigger she will actually get?

Right now I am feeding her innova small breed dry food and we have a big bag of that. When it is gone I was thinking about putting her on ZP but the only problem is I'm not sure if she will like it. We have tried giving her pieces of raw meat before and she just does not eat them. Will ZP be different or is there a way I can know for sure if she will eat it? Also, just in case, is Innova a good food? I know it is a 5 star food but I am curious as to what others think

Sometimes the switch to raw feeding takes some extra effort. You might just need to hand feed a bit to help get her started. Also check out the raw food links here as they have great info on what meats to use 1st etc ( chicken)...

As for the size, she could still grow some. Mine all reached their adult size at about 6 months. I have a 3.5 lber too

Size wise, mine were all about their adult frame size at 6-8 months. Technically, Chis skeletal structure is said to be complete then.

Mine have gained weight since that time, though so I would be really, very surprised if she is done growing and gaining as early as 5 months.

My oldest were each about 3 pounds at 6 months and now at about 16-17 months, they are close to 4 pounds. I do not know if that is the norm or not since they are sized similarly. They do like to eat! haha! My youngest is a few weeks over 1 year old and is about 3.5 pounds. She was right under 3 when we got her at 8 months.
So, mine have all gained well past the 6 month mark although their bodies look about the same.

Mine all LOVE ZP! It has a strong, concentrated smell since it is air dried that perhaps the raw meat did not. I know there are some here who feed Innova successfully. Perhaps they will see this and comment.

I did something fun when I got my pups (4 within a 2 month period)...I posted a growth chart on the refrigerator. Each pup had one and we did a monthly or sometimes more weight check. It is still up and we still check on occasion and they are all over a year now!

Well I ordered her some zp so hopefully she will eat it! Can I feed her both the zp and the Innova at the same time? One for each meal kinda thing
