I'm sorry about Frankie. My mom has CHF- it's rough. But with meds it can be managed. Sending hugs and kisses to Frankie!

Pam, I am sending my thoughts and prayers to you and Frankie. I am so sorry this is happening to him, but I am thankful to see others say that this is manageable. Please keep us posted on his progress.

Pam, I am so truly sorry to hear that Frankie has been diagnosed with CHF. I know you must be a very scared mommy right now, but stay strong for Frankie's sake. Frankie is one lucky little boy to have a mommy like you. It is because you take such good care of your boys that he got the help he needed and quickly. It is so unfair that at his age he has to go through this. I will be praying that the meds help him and that the side effects subside quickly. I know with the great care and love that you give him, that he will get through this and be ok. *hugs* from Jasper,Moose, Ginger, Ralph and I. We all our sending our very best to both of you.

Oh Laura you are too sweet. Yup you are right, I am a very scared mommy right now. I am doing everything my vet has told me to do. I thought the anti diarrhea medicine was working because we had no poops for most of the day, however an hour ago he had a huge explosion. His entire dinner I am sure. So hard for my cuddle bug to have to go through all this. I am constantly coming up to him with the dreaded pill in hand. He now hides under the bed every time I approach. To top it all off BOTH my boys need to lose weight so we are battling a few things....... Hugs to you and Ralph and your fur babies....

So sorry to hear about Frankie!! Is CHF a genetic thing? (I've heard of Chi's having this problem before.) Would the Lasix and Analapril be something he has to take for the rest of his life? You are in our thoughts! Keep us posted.
