the condition, so I'm glad there are girls here who can offer you advice and even

Pam, Can you give the pill one at a time in p.butter, or cream cheese? My chi's get all their pills that way. No problems! I don't care whether or not they need to lose weight, getting the pill down with no problems would be worth a few ouncies. Just cut down the regular food a tiny bit. When my baby Bonnie had medication in liquid form it was really horrid. She learned to run away if I came after her. (I never called her to me and then gave it, I went to her) Good luck with him.

nooloooooo my frankie boy! What a good momma u were to throw on clothes and not arrive half nakie to the vets teehee. Im so sorry ur poor pup went thru such a thing!!! That is crazyyyy...lets hope he never goes thru this again. Be safe my furry frankie ...and stop that puddle of poos those cant be good for ur tummy

Yes Susan, no problem with the pills now. I dab them in a tad of pb and rub it on the roof of his mouth. The new medicine for his loose stool came in a paste form in a tube. So that too gets rub on the roof of his mouth, at least it smells good.

Unfortunate news :/, I'm a new chi owner of a gal name princess and I have no experience but I just want to let you both you and Frankie know you're in my prayers and wish both nothing but the best,hopefully Frankie gets through this well I can't imagine that sickness on my chi she sometimes sneezes and I'm already sad:/ lol.anyways much love and blessings

It is not supposed to be as common in small dogs but I know of a few who have it, including our boy who did. I knew nothing of it before.

They are typically on the medication for life.

It was explained to us that it would be like an older person who lives a normal life while they are on heart medication. They need to have it and then the illness can be managed.

It is not a thing they get, "get better" and never get again. Think of a person diagnosed with diabetes as an example. They always have it but with careful monitoring, great attention, good diet and constant medication (EXACTLY what Frankie will receive), they manage fine.
