Default Can anyone recommend a good nail grinder?

I have a no-brand one that works well for Shelby and Maisie but doesnt touch Pippi's nails, as they're too hard.

Ive tried the Mikki one but that was no good for her either - What grinders does everyone else here use? Im struggling to find one in the UK!

I use one from the hardware store that is cordless. Dremel is the name. It does lots of jobs and has several bits. I asked the guy to put the sander bit in for me and get it ready. It has speeds that go up to 1000 revolutions. I do not use it more than 400, and I have to watch that I don't 'leave' it on a nail in one position. I love mine! Just remember to go slowly.

I don't use one, but have heard great things about dremel tools. I've only ever seen them be used on grizzly bears, but they work great!

I was looking at the Pedi Paws trimmer the other night and it just seemed huge in comparison to the little girls paws. I felt like it would swallow them whole. Does anyone use the Pedi Paws trimmer or is it just a no-go for the Chihuahua?

Yes ! i use that one most of the time. I removed the nail "guide" the safety thing that you are meant to put the nail into. I just use it plain. It works well with fresh batteries. I had an electric one ...pedi-something else....the grinder part was kind of suspended on a metal post and it was not sturdy.

I use one from Harbor Freight. Have had it for a few years & do my pups nails once every 2-4 weeks & I'm still on my first sanding head! It comes with loads of different attachments but 2 sanding heads I believe. It is on sale now for $10 & they do offer international shipping but you have to call for a shipping quote. I bet you could find something similar in the UK....

This one is MUCH more powerful than pedipaws. I had a couple different versions of those & they hardly touched my pups nails at ALL. Such a waste of money when you can get the same thing for a fraction of the cost. I'll message you the link Nat since I think it's against the rules to post a link?

I don't use one made specifically for dog nails. I use a regular dremel from the hardware store with one of the finer sanding tips, it is actually dremel brand. Not sure what brands you have available in the UK.
