Tango marked the chair leg :(
Help!
Moved to a new place a month ago, and I've been taking it very slowly introducing Tango and Jazz to the house. They've been crated when I can't watch them like a hawk. There have been no accidents, and I've slowly increased their space over time. They currently have the run of the kitchen, eat in area, living room, entry way and very small hallway area. The house is small, so that's not a lot of space and it's taken us a month to get there, but no accidents so no worries.
.......until this morning. Tango, right in front of me, lifted his leg and peed on the chair leg. He has NEVER lifted his leg inside, period. The only time he ever does that is when we got to Petsmart and I walk them from the car to the store. He will mark every tree, twig and blade of grass enroute. But other than that, he's never been a leg lifter, never marked inside. It wasn't 5 minutes after he marked the chair leg, than my roommate saw him squat in the middle of the kitchen floor and pee again. I was super-pissed at the chair leg incident, but after the second time, I'm starting to get worried. He's been very successfully house trained for close to 5 years. I would have expected this kind of behavior, if it were going to happen, right after the move, as a reaction to the stress of the changed environment, routine etc. But he's been so good through all that.
The only other thing I've noticed is that he's been butt-scooting. Neither dog has ever had anal glad issues, never needed them expressed, but in this past couple days I've noticed Tango dragging his butt a couple times. I don't know that this is related at all. But it's the only other anomaly I can think of. They're on the same food, the same treats, the same water additive, I can't think of any changes that might account for this anomalous behavior. He's otherwise fine, eating well, frisky as usual, no change in behavior. Ideas?
