I think that leaving her in the bathroom is a much better idea than crating, but you should still get someone to come and play with her mid day. It's such a long time for a puppy to be alone. What would be even better is if you know someone that could take her on some days. I was on a reading break from school when we brought Odie home. Afterwards, on days when I had school and my husband was at work, my Mom would pick her up from our place and take her to work with her (in a closed office). There would be times that my Mom would have to leave her alone for an hour, but it was better than her staying home alone which I wouldn't have been comfortable with.

I definitely think leaving her in the bathroom would be better than crating her. Like Krystal said, you still should have someone come over in the afternoon to socialize with her a bit.

I agree that is just to young to be left in her crate. She will be trained that is ok to potty in her bed. If don't have room for an xpen like the Iris that a few of us use then I like the bathroom or laundry room idea with a baby gate.

I'm gonna back up what the others advised you to do. Tucker is 4 months old & if I'm gonna be gone anytime over 2 to 2.5 hours, I still put him in the bathroom with his crate opened.

I am also a student who is occasionally gone all day 9am-11pm with a new dog who is not potty trained. When I am gone I have friends come over and check on her a few times a day, or I bring her with me on my way to school and drop her off at a friends house on the way. My friends are also students but it is a house of 6 so there is always someone home. It makes her more comfortable around strangers. She still knows I am her mom.
