While I agree with a lot of comments on here, I would like to add that sometimes a chi is yappy through no fault of the owner!

Honey has gone everywhere with me since she was 3 months old - met lots of people, dogs, etc. she loved to be fussed over and to play with other dogs!

But 3 months ago, she decided she hated everyone and everything - barking, yapping and snapping! Cue even more socialisation - taking it back to basics, I also got a trainer in for one to one sessions! She has got better now, but she's not how she used to be and training is still a daily thing!

I don't let Honey get away with anything - she is a proper dog! We practice NILIF, she walks everywhere and is never carried etc.

I certainly do put jumpers etc on her when she's cold, like I would do a child. She is well loved, but not Molly coddled.

I do the best I can by Honey, I know what she's really like - a sweetheart!
