Interacting when puppies is the best way for this to not occur. Luckily my 9 yr old daughter was always feeding Holly her food each piece by hand when little. Zoe came to us at age 3 and she has never shown food aggression either so someone must have worked with her as well.

Tucker is 4 months old now & he's not showed any food aggression signs until one evening my little boy dropped a biscuit & Tucker bit him when he took it from him. He was immediately put in his kennel for time out. Since then I've seen him show some aggression to my boys but not to me.
