Rosie is hardly eating 3 days post spaying. Am thinking of trying an egg to tempt her. Question is should it be raw or cooked? If cooked how? Would you scramble it? If so with milk or without?

I agree. Not too much butter---may give her the runs. Hard boiled is OK too. Have you been giving her some electrolyte (pedialyte) sol'n so she won't get dehydrated? I did that with Bonnie, who at 3#'s had a rough time also. I mixed some pedialyte with some honey and spooned it into her. She's fine now. I think it took 3-4 days before she really decided that she could move again!!! She also loved the extra attention!

Well the egg was unsuccessful, won't touch it, she had a little chicken this am but nothing since. She is taking food but just burying it in her bed. She weighs 4ibs, her sister is 3ibs and fine. Her wound looks fine, she seems to walk without pain if I put her down but cries to be picked straight up or get back on the sofa. Trying not to pamper her too much, in case it's my fault. She ate fine on the night of the op and the next day, but not much yesterday or today.

I should have called the vet but as she did eat this am I was hoping she would later too, she seems alert, I will try her again befor bed and if no luck will call the vet first thing in the morning. I was thinking maybe it is when her pain relief starts to wear off. I don't know. I feel awful now, wish I had taken her back this am!
