I have finally found bully sticks in Austria today, still no luck with deer antlers. I have a few questions for those of you who are familiar and give your furbabies BS.

My chis are total chewers, they would go on and on if I don't take it away, is it ok to let them have it through the day so they chew whenever they want or should I give them breaks?
Also, are they safe or should the dog always be supervised when chewing it?

Odie only gets bulky sticks when we're home. When we leave the house, I put it up. I also take them away when they get too small. I know most people will only give one per week because too many can lead to diarrhea, so if your dog is eating it all in one sitting, it might be nice to give them breaks so they don't eat it all at once.

We do exactly the same. When we're home though he always has some sort of natural chew out to have if he wants it. He currently has a bully stick and piece of beef gullet on the go.

I never have the need to take them up as even though he does spend a lot of time chewing, these particular chews are very long lasting and take Max days to get through.

I hope your little ones love them as much as Max does!

I still consider them treats, and therefore do not give them more often than
once every 7-10 days. They do cause loose stools if your pups eats too much.
You can let them chew for a few minutes, then trade them for something of
higher value, such as a piece of chicken for example. The rest of the bully stick
can be left uncovered out on the counter, it will dry up and make a good chew
for later on. Also, just like with any chew, supervision is a must because the risk
of choking is present. And don't forget to always let them chew their bully sticks
on top of a towel or something else that is easy to wash, because believe me it
is not a fun job trying to get the bully stick smell out of a fabric couch!lol
