I just got my little buddy a couple days ago and my wife takes care of him until I get home. I'm a truck driver. The lady we got him from said he is around 9 weeks old and from reading on here that seems too young to be away from the parents. I would love any advice as this is my first dog and I already love him.

Also how does he look? I don't know if he's pure or mixed

Congratulations, yes 9 weeks is old enough to go to a new home. My Ike was only 7 1/2 weeks old when we got him, as long as he is eating and drinking well. He looks like a Chi to me! He is adorable.

Any good food. No purina, pedigree etc. Get something like Fromm (all ages) ZiwiPeak (all ages) NOW/GO dog food. Blue Buffalo has good food too. Good lluck with your pup. This is a great forum. Lots of good info.
