My pup is about 9 weeks old. What type of food should I be feeding him? (Wet/dry)?

I feed dried food, Blue wilderness puppy and half Fromm . Your puppy should eat 4 times a day at his age.

What do you currently feed?

I would recommend Ziwipeak above all kibbles or canned foods. It is an air dried raw food. It looks like jerky. It is scoop and serve like kibble with the benefits of a raw diet. If not that, maybe a different premade raw like Stella & Chewys.

If you want to feed kibble, I'd suggest Acana, Fromm, Blue Buffalo Wilderness, or another 5 star food. http://www.dogfoodadvisor.com is a site that post reviews of different dog foods. I add water to kibble to make it a little softer and more easily digested.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend canned. But some of the brands of kibble also make decent canned foods if you choose to go that route.

I would feed him several small meals a day. Make sure he eats regularly so his blood sugar doesn't drop.

The feeding section here has some great information. I'm a believer that raw diet is best for them, and there's a "cheat Sheet" I posted too with a meal plan that I use. It takes into consideration that domestic dogs evolved from wolves, and feeds them a species appropriate (carnivorous) diet. Sadly, most kibbles have very little nutritional content to them that a dog can actually absorb. As Ashley suggested, ZiwiPeak is GREAT stuff and is a freeze dried raw; but can be pricier than preparing meals at home. Another good source for information is dogfoodchat.com, as there are many more knowledgeable dog lovers there! Good luck!
