Well the English winter is very much upon us, living in the south west all we get all year is rain. It's is currently HAMMERING down. There is no way on gods green earth that arnie will walk in it! How does everyone keep their chi's entertained and exercised when the weather is like this. I'm not sure I could hold his attention for an hour and play fetch. He's a very in the minuet dog!

I'm in bucks so not a bad day today just gales ,yesterday was awful rain all day and they didn't go for their 20 min walk.I had to play hide the chocolate button (dogs only one ) i have a kong so hide biscuits in that,so they have to work for their treat.

It's been peeing down all day here and so windy too! I didn't think Honey was too bad in the rain but today she just didn't want to walk!

However, she needed to as she was all over excited so on went her new raincoat...

She walked for about 25 minutes before getting so wet I thought I'd have to wring her!

We've also played fetch, done some training on a new trick (paws up and walk on hind legs) so that mental stimulation wears her out too xx

Our winters here on the east coast USA can be brutal. Pearly goes for walks outside every day until the temp reaches about 60 degrees F. When it gets cold she uses the treadmill indoors. She has been walking (running) on the treadmill since she was five months old. We always stay with her and she is well supervised. She will go the distance of about 1.5 -2 miles every day.

Thats a great Idea when the weather gets bad. We get some really bad wind storms where I live and its a cold wind the chill goes right through to the bone. On days when its raining we could all stay warm and dry and the dogs can still get their exercise. I think I might just get my dogs a treadmill for Xmas ; )
