Okay, weird question I know, but do bear with me!
I have a chi, Edie, who is supposed to be 12 weeks old. But there are a few little things that have made me wonder, is she *really* that young?
First thing is her size. She's nearly 5lb (2.25kg), and the vet says she's not overweight at all, she's just big. I've looked around, and 5lb is more like an adult size for some chis! I saw both her parents, and they weren't tiny, but I've looked at a few chi growth charts and Edie is literally off the scale for a 12 week old!
Second, she's smart. I mean, I know we all think our babies are super geniuses

, but Edie is seriously quick. She hasn't had a potty training accident for nearly two weeks (I'm using an UgoDog), she knows sit, stay, down, shake and she's getting pretty good at heel, and she only did that puppy biting thing for a couple of days after I got her. I work pretty hard on her training, but she just seems...I dunno...mature, I guess!
Third, she still has a puppy coat, but it's starting to get longer around her ears, and tufts of it seem to be growing out.
Sooooo....what do you guys think? Did the breeder I got her from "underestimate" her age? I don't mind, of course, I love Edie more than anything, but it might be good to know from a health point of view.
