Hiya, I've just noticed Honey is quite red around one eye. We literally got back from the Vets about an hour ago and it wasn't like this then! Any ideas ladies?

Tried to do a search on this site but either my phone won't let me or there were no search results! She is happy playing as normal. Hope you see what I mean on the pic. TIA

What did she have done at the vets? Could it be something related?

I don't see it. Is it her right eye? I could be stress from being at the vets. I'd just watch it & if it looks like it's getting redder or she is bothered by it, I'd call the vet. Doesn't really look like anything's wrong in the pic.

Just taken this pic, it shows it better.

She didn't have anything done, but was majorly stressed. Im taking her once a week to meet the vet and try and get her calmer when she's there.

Could be she got a hair in it... if it doesn't improve in a few hours or you see something in it, it might be good to flush it out with saline. (make sure it is the kind for contacts/eyes)

Could be an allergic reaction. Do you have any liquid children's Benadryl on hand?

Oh!! That's a much better pic. I don't like the looks of that!! Are you giving any meds? That is definitely not stress related. Has she been rubbing or scratching her eye? I would call the vet & let them see it. If she's taking any meds, that could be causing this.

Thankyou ladies. I couldnt see any hairs in her eye, plus she wasnt scratching or rubbing it at all.

She doesnt take any meds, the only thing she had differently yesterday was a few ZP squares, and i dont think theres anything in them she could have a reaction to.

I washed it out with saline, and she slept through the night as normal. It still looks quite red this morning, so have an appt with the Vet booked.

I do have Benadryl in my first aid box, but will leave off giving until we see the Vet, as i've only just read these comments! xx
