I got a sample from Ziwipeak for my cat. They sent the freeze dried and three little cans. My cat simply won't touch the freeze dried but loves the canned? What's up with that? Has anyone else experienced that with a cat and Ziwipeak?

I have only fed the cat we have now Ziwi peak, so I don't have much experience. Did you add water to the freeze dried ZP? That would be my only suggestion. Otherwise, I have never priced the cans, but if they are not terribly expensive I would just go with cans.

Have you tried goats milk? It's a lot cheaper and the cats I have fed it to in the past have loved it and thrived on it! If you can find it local and raw that's best, but any kind is fine.

I find $39.00 for 12 little can expensive I'm afraid. I will try adding water, it would be great if she would eat it. I think the price of the freeze dried is reasonable.

WOW! I agree-that's expensive. I will definitely be sticking with the freeze dried. I sure hope your cat will eat it with water. Let us know.

Will she leave the dry stuff even if you mix it in with wet?

Honestly can food is better than dry food for a cat but I feed both. Huly needs something he can snack on throughout the day and he gets 1/2 can of food twice a day. You will still think I starve my cat and he is super picky! When Huly's allergy report came back we had a VERY hard time finding something he could eat that was a dry food. We first put him on ZP Venison- HE HATES IT! He would eat it if he was totally famished and had nothing else but he hated it! Here are some good foods he eats and/or has been on. Nala still gets some of the others since she has no allergies.

Nala and Huly get 1/2 can twice a day of this (they both devour it)

Nala and Huly's Dry food-
Stella & Chewy's Chick Chick Chicken

Bedtime cookies (Huly has to take mushroom at night so we use these)
Pure Bites Chicken (the dog and cat ones are the exact same ingredients and dog is cheaper so my kids split a large bag of dog ones LOL)
