I know this is nature but its getting out of hand..for the past 3 days my 3 year old male dog (un-neutered) has been humping my female 1 year old (spayed). Its so annoying because poor Leyla has been running away from him all day long. When he tried humping her she snaps at him and bites him really hard. He just keeps trying and when he cant, he starts crying hysterically. He's humping her and humps the air by himself.. :/
Any suggestions on how to make this stop?

Neuter him. A few months after that it'll stop.

If you don't want to neuter him I would just let her teach him it isn't okay. Dogs learn a lot from each other.

If your female isn't dominant enough to do so I would enlist a friend's dog who you know won't harm your male to give him a talking to. My lab mix gives pretty strong scoldings and has been used to teach dogs not to do things in the past. (she turns, snaps, then continues what she is doing, giving the other dog another chance to get it right/wrong, if they do it wrong she still only ever scolds, never harms. She's great)

You could also just try a firm NO.

Ive tried a firm no..my female dog is also biting him to tell him its not right but ..my male dog is constantly crying its driving me crazy...I dont want to neuter him..hes already 3 and I dont have the money

Have you tried a water bottle? Spray him once with it when he humps. It won't hurt him or anything but might discourage the behavior.

If you can't/won't neuter him there isn't much you can do besides try and correct the behavior. It can be frustrating for him though. Why not get him neutered at a low cost clinic? I had my male chi neutered for $75, which included pain meds and everything when I didn't have a lot of money. 3 isn't too old to neuter.
