Are you able to order from GW Little there? I'm not sure if they have buddy belts, but they have a similar style and as long as the harness isn't custom, they have an excellent return policy so you can try different sizes. We use the Susan Lanci step in harness and I love it. It's pricey, but I doubt I'll ever need to buy another harness. It's similar to the buddy belts in that it fits behind the legs, so if you get one that fits well it would be close to impossible for a dog to escape. Plus, it's so soft and thin!

I have the buddy belt version from Gw little. I personally like it better then buddy belts because it has a swiveling clasp in the middle. I feel like it allows her more comfort.

Sorry, I only just saw this post.

I swear by these Ezy dog harnesses. My guys have never gotten out of one and they last really well (all mine are in their first harness still and Axle got his in October of 2011 so I think that's pretty good). They are happy to wear them for hours if they are out visiting somewhere and they have never rubbed or irritated them. My guys are all around the 2kg mark and they all take an XS and there is plenty of adjustment room. I got mine from Best Friends Pets but i've also seen them at Petstock. I think they are around the $25-$30 mark.

Here is Ax in his harness at the park a couple of weeks ago.

I saw your recent pictures with Odie wearing her harness. It does look cute and comfy and I bet it would not be one the dog would try to chew through, either. Does it wash well? It seems like that kind of fabric would.

Is the clasp good and tight? That made me nervous because I was afraid it might come loose in the middle while you are walking the dog.

I think they are great with dogs that pull. All the pressure is on the chest and shoulder area.

Yeah, I don't blame you. He is looking particularly cute in that pic.
