Hey everyone!
Want to update all of you on Ava's potty training and get some suggestions and advice.
Can I train Ava to use her pee pad in the house and to go to the bathroom outside when I bring her out?
Or would that just confuse her too much?
My next question, Ava's potty training is taking longer than expected. She is now 17wks and I started training her when she was 10wks.
I keep her in her playpen when I can't supervise her with food and water, a bed, some toys, and her pee pad.
She still is tearing up her pee pad, though she is using it well. When she goes poop, sometimes goes goes on it and sometimes she doesn't. She pees on it pretty accuretaly though.
Problem is, outside of her play pen she won't use her pee pad, if she's in the living room I'll place her pee pad in there and she's pretty wishy washy with whether or not she uses it.
When she's in the bedroom I'll have one down, and she won't use it at all! Last night she peed under the bed and when my boyfriend went to put his shoes on this morning he noticed she poo'd in one of his shoes
(I had to laugh a little at that one

).
As far as her crate goes, she still goes to the bathroom in it but she is getting to where now if she has to go she starts to whine so then I will take her out.
How can I get her to use her pee pads properly outside of her play pen?
It seems as though she likes to go and hide when she needs to go.
Any suggestions appreciated! Sorry for the long post, had a lot to update.
