Chloe has always had "thin" hair on top of her head. But I noticed that recently it seems to be getting worse. I know this can happen with blue dogs. Is there anything I can do to prevent it from getting worse and encourage hair regrowth?
Chloe is 11 months old and eats ZP and primal.
Thanks!
Douglas has very thin hair on his head, it seems fairly normal. You could try omega-3's, they are known to help skin and coat in most animals. (Horses I know, and we use fish oil in ferrets with issues also to get those healthy fats)

Arnie has this on his head! We thought it was a parting in his fur but now thinking about it it does look like hair thinning is it to do with the blue gene?!

I believe it does. Blue dogs can have major hair loss issues. I don't believe she has alopecia. But from what I read it is common for the color. I will try a supplement to see if it helps!
I talked to the vet today and she said to give Chloe .5 melatonin a day. It will take months for regrowth but she has seen success with blue dogs taking it. Fingers crossed!
