Default A bit of a scare, shaky legs and vomit.

Hi everyone, charchi all of a sudden, was trying to throw up, he did but just a little. What frightened me was, his back legs started to wobble like he was having trouble standing and walking.Weird thing though just as i was ready to rush him to the vets, he starts to eat some grass, then he was off running around the yard like nothing happened. At the time i was thinking did he have a tick on him, but diden,t think so as i,m checking him all the time, then i thought poison, as he had a heartworm tablet yesterday but he,s had this tablet before, so i dont think it was responsible. Could this have been a low sugar incident? what do you all think thanks- janet.

Was he lethargic acting? Usually when they have a sugar drop they have no energy and they are just kind of limp. Did he violently vomit and that caused his legs to shake? Maybe dehydrated, that may cause some dizziness that would cause his legs to shake? Had he eaten, did he throw up mostly foamy/yellow?

How is he acting now?

Hi, Yoshismum, He had actually just woken up, was a little lethargic yes. But not limp he was throwing up the yellow bile stuff that he was having trouble getting up. I did ring the vet, told them what happened and they had no idea, except that it diden,t sound like a sugar problem, he,s great now, so i have no idea, i,l just keep an eye on him. thanks Yoshismum-janet.

If he is throwing up bile (yellow/foamy stuff) that means his tummy is empty. Are you watching his food intake? If he is under 6 months old I would feed him at least 3 times a day, 4 if he is on the smaller side.
