Default Frequent bathing

Hiya, how often do u bath ur babies? At the min I bath mine every week and a half, is this too often? Would it cause her to scratch more? X

Some might disagree, but I would say that every week and a half is definitely too often if you're using shampoo. Just curious, is there a reason why you're bathing so often?

I think that is way too often. I bathe Toby every 6-8 weeks. Bathing too often will dry their skin and fur out. The natural oils get stripped. And dry skin makes dogs itchy.

If he needs a clean up in between baths, I use baby wipes to clean him up.

My partner says she smells, but if its too frequent maybe I should do it less often or get a better shampoo? X

My first thought is that she is a dog. But then, my dogs do not smell.

I am curious what you feed. That has a lot to do with dog's coats and even odor. I'll bet that you also have her oil glands in overdrive trying to keep up since she is being cleaned so often.

Jaxx gets a bath ever 6 weeks or so. I also use baby wipes if he gets a smell before the 6 weeks but he rarely ever does.

I think a good shampoo helps but also a good food is vital.
