I will be traveling with Tiki. We will be traveling to see my husbands family and then traveling to Boston. Any tips? It will be a long time away from home for her. I want to make it as easy as possible for her.
Is she crate trained? That makes it much easier. If not, does she have a carrier that can be her den? I'd take a blanket that smells like home and her favorite toys. As long as you show her where the potty area is right away (outside or pad location) and you're with her, she should be okay. My mom travels with Rocky who is neurotic and anxiety ridden and he's fine as long as h e has his carrier and blankie.
Yeah she loves her carrier. And I will take her favorite penguin blanket. And an antler and a squeaky toy.
My biggest concern is the other dog at my husbands parents house. can't really do to much about that.
If they don't get along, the only real option is to separate them. Either leash one or both of them or keep them in separate rooms of the house. Good luck!
