anyone know how long it lasts cause i am only feeding it to one dog usually they both get the same food and finish it within a month. i am afraid it is gong to go bad before finishing it.

5lb bag of what? Kibble? Usually the weight per cup is on the bag. Just divide it by 4 to get the weight per 1/4 cup, and divide 5lbs by that weight (making sure units are the same, of course)... You could also weigh a 1/4 cup if you have a kitchen scale.

Oh, and it won't go bad within 2-3 months. Won't be as fresh, perhaps, but it won't go bad.

You can put it in a container and freeze it. That is what I do with can dog food, mine get the kibble and can. One large can of Fromm's food last me for 12 feedings, I divide it up into 4 containers. You can do the same with hard dog food.
