Charchi loves to lick my face, nose cheeks and a lot on my mouth, which i try to keep moving so he cant get me, but sometimes he,s just to quick, but he makes me giggle to, so that makes him worse, ahh what can ya do ? but love em back.

Rolo does that too! Luckily he doesn't seem to be an avid lick-his-bits fan so I don't panic too much. He's wormed regularly . He swoops in and goes nuts so sometimes it's hard to stop him! Many a time he's stuck his tongue right up my nostril and the other day I was talking and he swooped in for a kiss and licked my teeth! Nice!

Ours lick any bare skin they can get at. Hands, face, up the nose, in your ear, eyes, feet. Mylo has even tried to lick my arm pit once or twice. Luckily they do not eat poo or lick their privates, but still... They also try to lick inside your mouth if you're not careful.

I've only had Butterbean for a couple of months now, and she's definitely gotten kissier with me over the course of that time. At first she wouldn't at all, though she was affectionate in other ways. Then she started giving me an occasional, tentative lick. Now whenever I lie down she pounces on my chest and tries to lick my nose off.

I have loved reading all these responses. I am happy to discover that Ruth and I are clearly in the mainstream of CP. As a group, none of us obsess about dog germs. I suspect that some guests/visitors to our homes may be horrified by what they see, but that is their problem.

If we have put out cheese and crackers, et al, for our guests, I will always have a container of hand sanitizer nearby, so that, for the sake of guest sensibilities, I make a show of hand cleaning after touching Simcha and before touching any of the food.

Stella is a frencher. When she gives kisses she does it passionately and goes directly for the mouth! Her favorite time to do it is while you're talking so she's sure to get her tongue in there for a good makeout session... blech!

I stop them licking around my mouth or up my nose and only allow lick my face before I've washed it but I'm not too worried about doggy germs. I pick up enough germs from elsewhere. I read that a dog's mouth is cleaner than a human mouth, so who am I to judge?
