How old is the pup in question? If they're young enough (like under 4 months...maybe even a bit older) you can tape them. I think a lot of people here will be against anything of the sort but...I love Chi ears & being as I show it's sort of a must. But I don't think there is anything wrong with wanting a Chi with correct Chi ears--thats a bit part of their look.

I have used breath right strips in the past. Or you can use 3mm medical tape (the clear kind ok for using on skin. Just clean the ear out w/alcohol before applying. Trim the tape so its' kind of the ear shape/size. You can leave it on for a week or maybe more. Take it out, wipe w/alcohol & let the ears rest for a day before repeating. When I've used breath right strips...they only last a day...two tops. So taping is probably easier and I think a bit more comfortable.
Anyway, I am sure your pup will be adorable either way but...there are ways to help ears that have slower developing leather. Saying that...there are also ear types that just are not meant to be up. They will usually have a crease about 1/3-1/2 way up their ear. Isn't always a deal breaker if you catch it early but...sometimes it's just the way they were made.
Good luck!
