Default What do i do?

Daisy decided to zig zag under my feed and i stamped on her foot (wearing flip flops) she screamed and cry and i scooped her up and she wimpered but gave me a kiss and wriggled to get back down.

She walked fine all the way home no lifting of foot or limping or no more noise. I'm pretty sure it was a front foot i trod on and i've held all her feet and she's been fine not even flinched.

Welcome to the forum. We have all accidentally trodden on our dogs at some point! If she isn't limping, or crying when you touch it, I wouldn't worry too much. I give an Arnica tablet to help with any bruising. If she starts showing any signs of pain, she will need a vet check.

Aaww! Poor sweetie!

It's almost impossible not to step on them at some point or another.

Angel gets "mad" if you step on him! Don't know where that comes from! But he will grumble/growl and try to attack! It's kind of cute to see this little dog get "mad" for stepping on him! I've never seen anything like it!

It happens, don't worry! When you think about it, you'd expect little dogs to make a big loud fuss when you step on them, since they're trying to say "Hey! I'm down here, in case you haven't noticed!". Even if they're not hurt, it's probably an evolutionary benefit for them to shriek.

I think it hurts us more than it hurts them. I have also stepped on my girls paw when she missed a step dancing behind me. If she is not in pain when you touch her paw, then she is most probably fine. Just a traumatic experience that requires extra kisses and hugs.

I have done the same. I feel so badly for the pup. Most of the time it is when I step backwards, and don't know they are there. Lots of drama, but thankfully no injuries.
