I do the same thing. I take about a week of ZP and put it into a tupperware container. Then at the end of the week I wash the container and then start again.

I have the bag open just a couple of weeks and keep the product in the original bag as instructed. I want nothing to alter the consistency, nutritional value nor safety of the food.

Air-dried pouches:

Just store in a cool dry place. Food should be used within 8 weeks of opening.

Don’t put it in the fridge or freezer, as this will change its natural profile over time.

When you’ve fed your pet, re-seal the pouch carefully.

As a result, even having 3, I cannot go through an 11 pound bag in 8 weeks time so I stick to 2.2 pound bags.

Thanks everyone! I will just stick with the 2.2 pound bags then. I'm also a rule follower! When we first got Chloe she was on canidae. I dumped her bag of food into a container with a lid thinking it would stay fresher. Then the big diamond recall happened and I didn't know if hers was effected. I learned my lesson on that one!
