Hi guy,s I,m a little worried, Charchi is skipping on his leg again,the leg that he had the patella opp done on in july last year, he has been perfect on it the last few weeks, and then all of a sudden he,s skipping on it again. I walk him every day about half hr morning and night,i cant remember him doing anything to hurt it, he has to go to the vet on friday for his parvo injection , so i get him to take a look,The other problem i have now is ,i had to let a chi puppy go a couple of mths ago because charchi,s leg wasen,t completly better at that point, now i was looking at getting another one soon, and his leg has me worried about getting this puppy again, what do i do? have any of u got a dog that never really recoverd from pateela surgery, and still limp or skips? I,m getting worried if this skipping is just something that will never go away alltogether, what should i do about getting the other puppy? put it off again ?

Ask the vet. I wonder if any of the wires they use are bothering him? Call the vet that did the surgery. Does Charchi limp, or just skip when he is running?

As for the puppy, I would go ahead. Just use a puppy playpen to keep the puppy away from Charchi if he is limping.

My Bella also had surgery last July and she occasionally still skips, in fact this morning on her walk she did it quite a few times. I'm not racing off to the vet at the moment just going to mention it next time I go.
