I always carry Prince out to the yard to do his business. He gets hugs and kisses as I carry him. He always gets squirmy because he loves the attention and starts licking me. He squirmed in just the right direction and I accidently dropped him onto the grass from chest height. He fell onto his back. He seems OK, he ran around outside, chased Lady, chased a stick and took a treat indoors. He is not limping in any way. He literally "thunked" when he hit the ground. He was shaking for a short period of time after but i held him until he calmed down. Should I worry he may have injured something internally. I would be heartbroken if he was hurt and I left from work. He is 3.5 pounds so very small.

Don't beat yourself up, Ike was dropped on our tile floor and we heard he head clunk, it was awful , but he was fine, just keep an watchful eye that he doesn't start acting different or throws up, or starts crying and not wanting to eat, etc. My husband had dropped Ike 2 months ago and is still beating himself up.

If he is acting ok and you can feel him all over and nothing seems to hurt you should be good. I have dropped mine before when they get squirmy. BG as a small pup decided to jump from our deck which is 4-5 ft off the ground into our yard. I FREAKED! She cried for a moment shook and I comforted her and then she bounced off through the yard. We had to put up lattice around our deck to make sure she never did that again as I felt worse than she did.

I think he'll be fine. Just watch to see that he is OK when you get home from work.

I am sorry this happened! They get so squirmy at times and think they are acrobats and can jump from anywhere. If he is acting okay and doesn't seem to be in any pain then I would try not to worry too much. I would just keep an eye on him and give him lots of snuggles, I am sure giving snuggles will make you feel better too.

Least it was on grass. Everyone's done it at some point or something similar. If he's acting ok try not to worry about it xox

At least he is ok! It happens, don't be so hard on yourself. If it makes you feel better, Lola was under the covers and rolled off the bed for the first time ever the other night, there were some pillows on the ground thankfully. These thing happen, we are only human.
