I'm so worried, I turned round and she was licking the shower cleaner, probably had 2-3 licks I think, now I'm worried that she gna get sick from the poison chemicals, and it's too late to call any vets. As its 1:55am, but she seams to be running around playing as usual. I did give her some milk as my mum said when kids consume poison they say to give them milk as it helps the stomach. I no u aren't ment to give them milk, but I'd rather be safe and make sure then worry over her getting diarrhoea. Now I don't think I'm gna get any sleep as ill be watching over her hope she didn't consume a lot. Has anyone else had there chi lick something that's poison?

There are stickys under the chi chat forum that might give you answers. I have not had this happen so I can't help you with this specific thing. Maybe you could call a 24 hr emergency vet and ask if there is something you need to do.

When Simcha swallowed roughly 50 fish oil capsules, we rushed him to the vet, who induced vomiting. In this particular case, I would first get veterinary advice before rushing to use the 3 percent hydrogen peroxide at home to induce vomiting. There is the possibility that the shower cleaner might be a bit caustic, and you might not want it coming back up through the esophagus. The quantity ingested is quite small, so the danger might be small. I know that our vet does have an emergency pager service for when she is not in the office; perhaps your vet has the same.

It's says ingredients is hydroxydichlorodiphenyl but have no idea what that is

Don't take any chances call and speak to the emergency vet. I nearly lost my oldest chi when she ate a few slug pellets. Timing was crucial, if I had waited she would have died.
