This morning junior kept coughing and bringing up clear fluid. I have him tea and he promptly coughed that up it lasted for about half hour. Then I got him playing and it stopped. Should I take him to the vets ?

What kind of tea are you giving him? Clear fluid? Has he ate anything?

Tea with milk. He is eating well and playing. All his usual self

I would not give tea with milk. Dogs are lactose intolerant and tea has stimulants in it that aren't good for dogs, caffeine, etc.

I would watch him and if he coughs again, I'd take him in. He may have picked up a virus.

I never heard of giving tea to a dog. How old is he? Are you sure it's not reverse sneezing? Chi do that.

Was the fluid frothy? Was it totally clear, or did it have a slight yellow tinge?

I've always had big dogs and they have had a cuppa for breakfast. This is my first small dog and I love him to bits. He is 4 months old
