I started work at an animal shelter yesterday and was misinformed about it being a no kill shelter. They do kill a lot of animals and I just couldn't stand seeing all these poor dogs euthanized when there was nothing wrong with them so I quit. Well the reason I am pming you is because they have a full blooded chihuahua there and it is very very skinny and in need of a home soon. The shelter is the Franklin County Humane Society of Missouri. The chi is solid tan (fawn), male, is very friendly, 3-4 pounds,7-10 years old and needs a home really soon because I saw many dogs there get put to sleep for no reason whatsoever except that thier owner surrendered them and if an owner surrenders they can put the dogs to sleep immediately. I don't think a lot of people realize this, I know I didn't. I saw people bring dogs in and would say they were moving or something and then the workers would tell them that they would try to find a good home for their pets and the dogs would be taken back and put to sleep before the owner was out of the parking lot. Please put this little chi on the rescue forum I am so scared he will be euthanized before he is adopted. He was found along the side of a highway so he has 5 days befor they can kill him.
