Anyone else have before and after photos of their rescues? Whether you rescued one as a pet for your family or you took one in as a foster that needed some time before being adopted into it's forever home?
It seems like we always get the starving chis. Not sure what people's problem is around our area. But we've got 2 of them now that came in just bones and skin. Princess is finally gaining some weight and looking pretty good. She wound up needing 4 teeth removed as she'd never had any dental care. And they were going to have her put to sleep because she was a 'mean' dog.

Dummies - try socializing them - it makes a big difference.
Angus was a 'breeder stud'. Ugh!! I love him, but that boy is a total mix breed. Of course they said he's full blood because he has CKC papers.

I can probably get CKC to register my horse as a mastiff.

Anyway, they were using him as a stud and then throwing him outside with a group of 7 big dogs. The big dogs took all his food and beat him up. It was winter when they decided they'd had enough breeding with him. He was only 18 months old.

Poor little dude. I was so afraid he'd freeze to death out in the snow with no shelter before I could get to him. Luckily he pulled through and 6 months of food and warm beds have made him a little rolley polley. Now we have to put him on a diet!!!
So, pictures all!! First Princess before and after. Not much of a difference in her yet as we've not had her that long, but still she looks better.
Ok, I lied. I must have Princess' before pictures on the home computer. But at least here's more recent ones.
Where she sleeps on my pillow. Rough life!!
With her sister and brothers. She's next to Butch, the brown chi in front.
By the way, this is how their entire day is spent with daddy. All of them pile in bed with him as soon as they've gone potty and had breakfast. And that's where they stay until bed time, and then each has their own chosen place to sleep.
And the viscious Princess with my daughter and her boyfriend on 4th of July, the very day she met him. Amazing what a little training will do to curb their blood lust for human sacrifices!!
And last for her, peek a bo. She loves to burrow in the pillows on the bed.
Then Angus before and after. Big difference!!
