POPPYChihuahua (Long coat) - female - seven years old (approx.)Poppy is a really sweet little dog although when picked up or sat on your lap she may bark and yap at people or other dogs - just some Chihuahua attitude!! When on the floor she is fine. For this reason we want her to go to an owner who will treat her like a dog and not a toy that is carried around and pampered! She can live with children pover 14 years and can also live with cats (as long as they are used to dogs). Poppy does have a slight heart murmour so her new owners must be aware that this may have an affect later on in life and she may need medication. Please consider Poppy as she is very sweet - she only came to us as her owner fell pregnant and could no longer keep her.

That is so sad. All those poor dogs - majority of them are cross breeds - another reason why not to cross breed for money.

Bless her, I'm sure she'll find a special home soon. It's a shame she has a heart murmut at only 7, I hope it doesn't develop into something very serious.

Rescues are heaving with unwanted dogs and friends involved with rescue say we are seeing more small breeds and first crosses than ever before
