That's like when I got my two pekes. There was 37 pekes in a single wide mobile home. The wife had tripped over one of the dogs and broke her hip. The rehab hospital wouldn't let her go home until they had got down to three dogs. I went by the house and the man gave me Ling Ling and Sun Chee. They were two years old, unsocialized and not house broke. Ling Ling lived under my bed for a year before I finally got her to bond with me. Sun Chee bonded immediately and was my heart dog until she passed last Dec.

I don't want to sound dumb, but what caused the cataracts on these dogs?

An uneducated guess, could be poor breeding or possible inbreeding since she had so many dogs.. it would be impossible to keep track.
Also it does not say how old they are, or perhaps I missed that part.

Funny.. I adopted my poodle from the Humane Society back in 98 he had been rescued from an elderly lady who had around 70 dogs in her house
He was not abused.. but very likely interbred considering the situation. The animal control officers basically went in and took all but 3 dogs from her because she was very elderly and would leave them outside in the yard barking at times and people were complaining.

He's still with me and is a sweet little soul, totally deaf now and has some lumps and bumps but he is pushing 16.
