Lady is a female long haired Chi, about 6 yrs old, weighs 6 lbs. Used as a breeder .Sold at flea market. Woman who bought her took to vet "to be put down" because Lady did not "hook up" with male dog and get pregnant. (Thank God...) Poinsett Vet in Greenville,SC where my daughter works, has possession of Lady now. She only ate and slept for over a week. Warming up now and wanting to be loved.



She is UTD on all shots..Will be spayed. Is heartworm positive and has been started on heartguard but not healthy enough now for HW treatment. As if this is not enough sorrow...Lady will definitely lose her right eye and more than likely her left eye too.



She needs a loving home so when she does lose eyes, she will be familiar with surroundings and feel loved and safe. If this cannot happen, at least a loving foster home.

I have 12 fosters right now so I'm "technically" full....however, if this girl doesn't find a home/foster, let me know. Meanwhile, is there a rescue up there that posts on PetFinder? Maybe one will do a courtesy posting for the person caring for Lady. Longcoats are hard to find in rescue and usually go quickly down here....even with special needs.
