Thanks Lisa.

We are looking for a playful pup that can tire out my new Westie LOL. We seem to do better with dogs in pairs (we got Daisy and Lily only 2 weeks apart). For some reason, it's easier for us.

We don't have any children (yet).

Showing Hubby pictures of pups in a few minutes to see if any catch his attention.

Yeah, don't get me started on this. I got turned down by a couple b/c I had a job (what are they looking for anyways...housewives and lotto winners?), but I was still "free to donate money for [their] cause." Others just never returned my phone calls or emails.

There was a small backlash against a lot of rescues for this very reason, and I think even the NYTimes did an article about how some rescues will aggressively pursue donations for foster and will just as aggressively eliminate adoptees for things like living in condos, having children, having other dogs, having a job, etc...with little to no individual assessment.

Not ALL rescues do this, mind you, but enough of them are like this that it got some media attention, and I remember filling out a Petfinder survey asking specific questions about my thoughts on rescue groups and their qualification process.

After my 10th or 11th no-call-returned and refusal, I got my two chis from a breeder.
