Good luck, he is just adorably adorable! Geez, I'm shocked he hasn't been scooped up! As soon as our local pound (That being said we live in a tiny town lol) get a small dog it is gone pretty fast! I hope it all works out!! Keep us updated! <3

Well, I'm disappointed to say that "Johnson" has already been adopted. I went to see him today at around 2pm and they told me that he was gone. I'm glad he got adopted, though. The dog room at the shelter was really loud and probably pretty stressful for such a little dog!

I love fostering. Right now Finn and I are fostering three little ones. It's a very rewarding experience.

I live in the Kansas City area and would like some information on fostering chihuahuas, does anyone know how I can go about to do this.

I would check on Petfinder under Chihuahua breed--that's how I found the local rescue for Chis where I live. You can also Google "Chihuahua Rescue" "Kansas City" and see what comes up. As an alternative, contact the humane society. If the Chi overpopulation problem is even half of what it is in Colorado, then there should be Chis in need of fostering. Generally they do not do well at all in shelters and really need to be in a foster situation. Good luck and let me know how things go.

Thank you for even considering our helpless Chis in need of loving homes. It is heartbreaking.

My family used to run a boarding house for dogs, it was nice have some for a week or two...we had one dog for 4 years we where devastated when she left. Needless to say i fell in the foot steps of my family .I have fostered for a week -4 months . The hardest was when I took in a mini dachshund and we had her for two years. That totally crushed me ,cause she had become a member of the family after no word from the owner and not being able to contact her. *sigh* Its a hard job, bitter sweet but rewarding...good for you girl!!!
