So I have had my chihuahua for about a year now.. When I first got him he was ill treated, he was scared and would often mess round the house, He went through stages of not eating his dog food too.
Since he has been with us he has become really friendly and now even comes to sit on your knee! He is still weary of male's and also stranger's. He gets on well with my friends female chi, but he cowards whenever he's around a male dog... He is ok with me other dog but I think that may be down to the fact that he doesn't bother with him.

I am in lincolnshire and I'm just looking to rehome a dog, if anyone knows of anyone or anywhere I can get one from could you let me know..

Thanks for the help! I will check out those website.. Are they in the uk? As there is no way on this earth I am having people "send them over in a crate"
I was looking at buying another chi a long time ago but they was all in america etc and the ones in the uk was asking like 600 for cross breads...

Yea the one I suggest is in the U.K it's probably just a case of finding one thats located closer to you. I have to admit the majority of them are closer to me in London. But u can just type in 'chihuahua's for rescue in the uk' and it brings up a good amount of websites. However with the Kennel Club you will get a purebred more likely if that what your looking for.

Can you can search for purebred's on preloved.com that's how I got Diamond he was originally £600 and after talking to the breeder he ended up reducing the price for me. Just look out for last left puppies cause people want to get rid of them their more likely to drop the price cause there are puppies left over from xmas litters still and just show how much of a great home s/he will be going to.

Yeah I have looked at the website's still looking now.. I am willing to travel but its just when the rescue shelters have to come and view your house they like you to be in there area. I am willing to take on a cross bread, its just the fact of people selling cross breads at a high price.. Its just money to them!

I know exactly what you mean by looking for money if you do go with a breeder just look for a genuine one, talking to them find out why they breed their puppies and their history with animals you will find a lot.
