Default Show Quality?

How do you find out if your dog is show quality? I have been thinking of putting Sophie in beginners shows, but I am not sure where I would start. I contacted the CKC (as she is CKC registered), and they could not give me any info, except to check their website for upcoming events. I am not looking for her to become best in show or anything, I just think conformity events would be a good thing to get her involved with. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know if the CKC standard is different than AKC. I would start off by studying the AKC standard or finding a chihuahua show breeder to evaluate your pup.. Good luck!!!

Smiles,
Myra

Side shot, stacked photo please. She should be about 3-4 pounds grown weight.

She weighs 2 lbs now and is 14 weeks. Sorry about the pics, I know they aren't great. She's hyper right now, and the cat was distracting her, so she kept trying to sit and her tail wouldn't stop wagging!

14 weeks is a little too early to tell if she is show material. some may look awkward and their nose may look a little long but then they grow into it (happened with chiwi her snout was on the long side and it's so much shorter now.)

It will take at least till her second teeth grow till you'll know whether it's a show material or not. Some things can be seen before, but over all you can't really tell till it's fully developed.
