Okay guys...What do you think? Is my little Gracie show quality? She'll be 5 months old on the 5th. I'm trying to decide whether to start training her & entering her in shows or to just have her spayed. I, of course, think she's adorable; but I know that also doesn't make her show quality! So I thought I'd ask the opinion of some people who have been through shows with chihuahuas! My main concerns with her is her size (at 4 months, she was around 2 1/2 pounds, but she's grown so much in just the last week!) and her muzzle (it seems a little big, but I'm not sure!)! Any opinions (good or bad!) you could offer would be really appreciated! Thanks so much!

By the way...I hope her picture shows up okay...I was having a hard time adding it as an attachment, so I put as my profile picture...not sure how that will turn out yet though! (Sorry...I'm still a newbie at this!)

Impossible to tell from that photo, but why don't you give it a try and you'll see. You can always try and if she's not successful she's still your little girl that you'll love forever!
I didn't know whether my boy was any good, till I showed him a couple of times and he is doing quite well.... beaware though, showing can be very addictive!!

Okay...I'm not really sure whats going on with my pictures here! When I posted last night, my picture showed up, but now its not! So I'll try this link & see if it works at all! Hopefully I'll eventually figure this all out!

I guess I'm mainly trying to figure out now whether or not to show her because my vet suggested that if I'm going to spay her, it would be best to do it before she's 6 months old. And since she can't be shown till 6 months...What do you know about the spaying before & after 6 months thing? Am I better off doing it now or waiting & putting her through some shows first?

Before you decide either way, why not just go to a dog show (no need to show her) and ask one of the judges or perhaps another experienced Chihuahua breeder. They'll be happy to tell you what they think of her.... they'll know best whether she's show potential. Or perhaps ask your dog's breeder.Surely he's very experienced, and most likely won't hesitate telling you what he thinks.
