We took cheeky boy to his first show class this evening. There were loads of diff dogs there, pugs, spaniels, boxers, bulldogs, terriers, standard and miniature poodles, and more.


Chico was PETRIFIED bless him. Cowered under my seat most of the time. Wouldnt walk around the mats, (Chico says show class was a bit of a drag really!!! )

A few people spoke to us a little bit, but not much.

Chico had two goes at the line up bit, ie qeue up in line, then onto the table then walk round.
That's all it was. nothing else went on at all except a raffle.

I thought there would have been more to it than that really. But it is a start in getting us used to what goes on.


Friday night is puppy class! Let's hope chico isnt so scared bless him

Babs and I have been doing puppy class for about 7 weeks (1 night a week). She was very scared at first too but after a couple of times it got better. We had all large breed puppies in class, so they outweigh her by about 20-30 pounds. Good luck with classes, he'll settle in. Send photos.

Chico didnt mind the pug puppy, but was scared of every other dog lol.

I felt like a bad momma for taking him to such a scarey place!

Aww bless Chico, he will be scared at first, and you probably think lie i did.."oh why did i bring hi here, i don't want to scare him" but in reality it is good for him, even just seeing the bigger dogs is socialising him, you will find each week he will get a little bit more confident and daring, and he will soon overcome his fears. Its great that you are doing it while he is young as they are like a sponge and take in everything that is going on around them. He will soon get used to it and start to enjoy it after a few weeks, thats when it feels so worthwhile!
