does that mean a dog was only showed a limited number of times? i tried to look it up on the AKC site and the CCA's site, but i could not find what i am looking for. i have never even heard of the term before. i just know that i saw a dog and he is points away from earning his "Championship in very limited showing" and now i am very curious what that means. i am curious because he is my future puppy's father and i want to learn all i can about him. his breeder is legit, i am just want to know about him because i am interested ( thats all!).

It sounds like they're saying that he is almost a champion already and has only been shown a few times.

ohh. thanks, hollysmommy. i wasnt sure what that meant. my next guess was going to be that maybe there are special conformation shows for limited akc dogs that the general public doesnt know about..but that wouldnt make any sense bc if he is limited, he would have been neutered and if that were the case, he couldnt have had babies...

Yes thats what it means - he has only been shown a few times but still nearly got his title.

I made Josie up in about 12 weeks I think it was. So that was basically about 5 shows.

It isn't anything to do with KC regs so you wouldn't find it on their web sites.
