when one of my dogs layla was about 14 weeks old she got stood on and had to be rushed to the vets where she stayed for 2 days while they took xrays. When we got to take her home she had a fractured skull and the very top of her neck was fractured too, the vet said if it had happened further down her neck she would have died so we were very lucky. anyways she is back to her normal self now but she has a bit of a wobbly head which has got a little bit better since it had happened but it still wobbles. We were going to show her and we are still going to but will her wobbly head efect her in the show ring or is it no big deal?

Aw how on earth did she manage to get stepped on! Poor Layla.

Has it had any affect on her? Will she allow you to handle her on the table, look into her mouth etc? sometimes they react when around the damaged area is touched.

Providing she enjoys it and there is no lasting effect, she should be OK. Have you tried her at ring training classes?

She looks very pretty - what breeding is she?

No is hasn't affected her in anyway she will let you open her mouth and look at her teeth and touch her head and her neck so she is just like she was before it as happened .
No I haven't tried her at ring classes yet but are looking for some in my area.
We got her from a breeder in Cleveland but only has 2/3 champs in her KC so I don't know how well she will do.

Oh that's good then, she looks a very pretty dog btw. What's her temperament like? That is an important issue in dog showing.

Having champions in the pedigree doesn't make it any better - you can have LOADS of champions in a pedigree but it doesn't mean it will be a champion.

I wonder if I know her breeder.

She is always walking around with her tail up hardly puts it down ... It only goes down when she is scared . She walks around like she's the best and very important and is very loving and loves dogs! Even tho she is a little scared of big ones at times.
A think her breeders last name was Frost, do you know any breeder with that last name?

sorry I missed the reply on this thread - no I haven't heard of anyone by the name of Frost in Cleveland - who are her parents perhaps I have heard of them or is there any known affixes in the pedigree.

How did training classes go last night - did you manage to get. Haven't spoken to Lyanne to see if she got there.

erm her mam is mexican belle and her dad is special will. there is some serjay, madrako, ballybroke, amarantos, meonshore, yorone and some more in her pedigree ... any of them well known?

the training classes went okay she was really scared and shaking alot but calmed down towards the end and she wouldnt really walk that much because she was scared but were going back next week so hopefully she will get more used to it and become better

don't know the mother, because there isn't an affix there - I know of Special Will though, he gets used at stud a lot. Belongs to a woman at Carlisle.

all the other affixes you mention are well know, I know all of the breeders personally - probably will see quite a few of them tomorrow at Leeds.

Keep trying at classes - it will take time.
